“Are the dead really dead? Where do we go when we die?” and so many other questions are running through the heads of many people. For this reason, the devil has taken advantage of it and is providing lies as truth for these inquiring souls. In a world filled with so much turmoil and confusion, where could truth be found? Could it be found in Hollywood movies? Well, no. Do we come back from death as zombies? There’s so much on our TV Screens now, and as Christians, we must be very selective about the TV shows we watch.
There’s only one place we could find truth and be safe; The Bible is the ONLY Source we could get divine truth to withstand all the darts of Satan.
The world and even many professed Christians teach or believe the dead are not really dead. Most Christians today have borrowed their faith from paganism and now teach the dead go straight to either heaven or hell( hmm, shocking). Why does this state of the dead truth matters so much? Because this is one of the greatest point Satan will use to finish his grand deception.
The grand finale of the world’s oldest war would end with this issue. So, as Christians we are obliged to study the word of God for ourselves with prayer and we will get understanding to withstand the delusions of these last days.
The Bible says “The dead are REALLY DEAD”. They do not float, neither do they see us down from heaven. They are not burning in hell neither are they living another life anywhere in so called “spiritual realm”.
To understand this Bible truth, let’s look at this case study: A Carpenter building a chair
A Chair is made up both nails and the wooden structures. So mathematically nails+wood=chair
Now, would nails-wood be equal to chair? No because that’d make the equation to be wrong.
Nails and wood together forms a chair, and if you take the nails out of the chair, it will no longer be a chair!( look at the above illustration)
The same thing applies to human beings. According to the Bible, we were made up of breathe of life from God and dust from the ground.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:7
Therefore Breathe of life+dust = living soul.
When a person dies, the breathe of life returns to God and the dust returns to the ground. “for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Genesis 3:19
The Bible calls death as sleep, because the person who died would not anything. The next thing he would see is either he’s been resurrected to everlasting life or everlasting death. Don’t let anyone deceive you. The dead are in the grave awaiting the resurrection( the righteous to life, and the wicked to damnation).
Let’s study the word of God for ourselves so that no one deceives us.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: 12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. Job 14:11-12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. 26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:25-28
